For Little Brownie Bakers, one of two baker of Girl Scout Cookies, I revamped the dashboard experience of their desktop sales tool and developed a mobile app version. This software aids Volunteers and Council offices in tracking cookie sales, inventory, progress toward sales goals, and managing girls' rewards. Throughout the app, vibrant cookie box colors are infused to align with the Girl Scout brand and capture the excitement of the limited sales season. Collaborating with a UX researcher and development team, we tailored the mobile experience to suit the needs of busy volunteers, many of whom are moms. The mobility of the app allows volunteers to stay on top of cookie season from anywhere convenient for them. And by organizing key tasks that take place during pivotal parts of the season togehter we were able to streamline the users workflow.
Some of the features we implemented for the mobile version included:
In order to make the dashboard more user-friendly, we provided volunteers with a customizable set of widgets containing various data visualizations. These widgets allow volunteers to track their cookie season progress with a quick glance. Additionally, a collapsible navigation menu enables users to access larger table views, while a progress tracker reminds them of the upcoming steps in the cookie season. To further enhance user engagement, we incorporated a right column featuring quick access to frequently used resources such as the troop calendar, messages, and report links.
